Tomboy is an interesting editor to write little notes in the purest style of post-it notes.
One of the main features of Tomboy is that you can decide on the text format before writing (as if it were a mini text processor), and you can choose different types of font and size, plus it has options for bold, italics, underlining, etc. Also, if you write many notes, you can easily find them thanks to the intuitive searcher it has.
Having said that, the most interesting thing about Tomboy is that it comes equipped with its own orthographic corrector for the notes you write.
